Hurhurhur tmr is my last day at work! xD

Time to brush off my video fatigue and watch all the anime i swore to finish after alevels!!
Time to wipe off the dust on my piano and give my exam pieces some tender loving care!!
Time to clear off the brain rot and memorise song lyrics and arrangements for next next week!!

Quite the optimist eh hahaha..

But meh whatever, my time is precious i intend to use it wisely =)

I need to learn how to be comfortable singing in front of people. I sound like a fucktard at jamming WHY?!?!?!?!?!

Mehhhh everyone is either jumping with joy at having recieved their acceptance letters or sick with worry that they havent. I couldnt even give half a shit D:

And wassup with colleagues and relatives asking me HOMGWTFBBQ WHY DIDNT YOU APPLY FOR MEDICINE and HOMGWTFBBQ WHY DONT YOU GO OVERSEAS TO STUDY LAW WITH RESULTS LIKE YOURS. Well, the answer to the first qn is im just not cut out to do medicine like hello look at my current personality id sooner kill someone than save them D: (lol i used to think id make a good doctor but i grew up and grew cynical hurhurhur) And the answer to the second is yes i would love to hightail outta this damn country but that would put my parents in serious debt.. erm wait actually no it wouldnt..

Ok fine! I dont want to live my life in abject poverty in UK, i dont want to have like no money to cosplay, i dont want to lose touch with music for three years, i dont want to go japan and feel like a guilty ass at having spent a ton of money shopping instead of contributing to my own education. I may be getting HOMG BIGGER BENEFITS at going overseas to study law than studying business in singapore but i think ill accept the tradeoff of strengthening my links with the cosplay community (and the band!!) and at least having SOME cash to buy clothes once in a while.

Besides i might still have a shot at the double degree business and law so why so kan chiong spider?!?!?

High On Weed

Hurhurhur i feel a little like im high on weed, because the past 3 nights have been so fucking awesome xD

V.Actors Presents: No Holds Barred on friday was pretty amazing. I loved loved loved loved loved loved Naomi in the Living Room because kenickie looks hot as a drag queen masquerading as a dior model. The actress cast as Naomi was suitably crazed and wonderful as hell. Agamemnon was whoosh for me; it gave me chills when the chorus calls out to the beacon and when they did the whole stabbing thing with Clytemnestra.. Although i think it would have been wicked sick if she had that perverse happiness look on her face after she was done with the two. ok i am no longer a director i shall shut up now Fast Cars and Road Runners were nto exactly my favourites. It was a good effort and long plays are tough to sustain but i think the energy wasnt enough and so some of the emotional parts kinda fell flat. Plus stage kissing is a bit cmi o.O and i completely missed the ending of fast cars because i cant hear shit over the audio T.T

Mayday: Down to Earth 2008 on Saturday was FUCKING AMAZING. (i just tried to type the chinese title of the tour becoz it sounds better but i failz at chinese -.-)

Erm and if people are wondering what a non-cheeeeeeeena person like me is doing at a chinese rock concert, i got the ticket free of charge (thank you m1 for being a sponser). Instead of selling it to make some fast cash, i thought might as well go since they kinda rock and i wanted to hear wen rou live. (oh and phoebe, the song title is wen rou ;p) And they did rock. I especially love instrumental solos. And ah shin can really sing; as in really really really well. I felt like shouting NICE LUNGS to him. Instead of feeling like i came back to earth, i think i flew off earth instead xD

And they sang the full version of wen rou =) And i was happy already. Haha everytime i think of wen rou, i think of kbox. And i think of zr, chm, ginny, shayne and me singing that song. And i think of sec4 times, especially in june.

Jamming on sunday night wa the cherry and icing on the top of my already very sinful cake. It was my first time ever doing anything like that; putting myself in a soundproof box with a imba talented bassist, guitarist and drummer (lol the poor keyboardist couldnt do anything becoz got no keyboard parts) and getting pwned upside down by my pathetic japanese pronunciation. Lol i even had to go blah blah blah at the second verse becoz the words were too squished up.

Highlights of the evening include:
The guitarist has daren tan's cheekbones! *gasp*
The bassist is damn handsome! He looks like a japanese anime character.
The drummer looks like Joo Ji Hoon, you know the crown prince shin from goong. And hes kinda cool also larh, coz hes funny.

Ok, lets not get carried away. More lyrics to be learnt and memorized by the next session two weeks later. Rats.. i hate memorising.

Oh and i think i just landed back on earth again. Shit tmr is the smu interview!! Wtf am i doing online?!?!?

Giant Shrinking Turtle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hurhurhur here in lies the promised bandwidth-gobbling, picture-intensive, pic-spam post to mark the insanity that was my outing with Phoebe. We met at Bugis nydc to set our japan itinery in stone and also to do a bunch of other stuff not included in the original plan lol..

Lol naturally i brought Gaara out with me on this trip (becoz i finally rmbed to >.<) but he didnt seem to quite like his surroundings in nydc very much..

Since Gaara doesnt count chili flakes and tabasco sauce as some of his firm friends, i thought id give him a little change and let him try my d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s romeo&julietbakedpasta with yummy white sauce...


But that didnt quite appease Gaara and he remained pissed enough to do his ass-whopping, deforestation move; the Desert Imperial Funeral. (oh myyy the amount of 'useless' info i retain never fails to amaze me). Well at least he helped the pretty waitress clear the plates hurhurhur

OOOO and look what else i saw in the nydc!! This made me laugh =D

So after we stayed long enough in the cafe to do what we set out to do, we went to the basement to satisfy my TAKOYAKI craving!!! No pics of that, obviously, since i had to walk and eat. Gaara remained safely in my bag coz i scared he steal my takoballs hurhurhur..

And after a meaningless walk around kino (sadly still no L file no.15), we decided to reaquaint ourselves with a very old friend, the bugis neoprint shop~~~!!











Lol my favourite of the lot is the above one and the cd cover one.. Although if i ever release an album itd be wayyy more big-budget than a neoprint version ;p credits to phoebs for getting the neos online hehe..

You Can't Reach Me

Idiot. Be thankful for what you have. How you could whine on and on when you have gotten something you want is beyond me.

On a separate note, i think the fact that i cannot have my first choice is driving home the point that i am meant for something else. Since nobody in singapore seems to think that anybody with a C for gp deserves even an interview for law school (oh not even the newly established smu mind you), my mother dangled the 150,000 dollar carrot in front of me.

And i put the carrot back into the bank. What is not mine to take, i will not take. I do recall adamantly stating that i must do everything to get what i want but even someone as headstrong as me knows when to back down and move on. If it isnt meant to be then, tough luck sweetheart ill just have to find something else to do (like singing hurhurhur)

So could the above rant be inspired by my frustration at not getting what i wanted? Probably. But im certain that even if i got into law school, id still rant about it.

What i end up studying wont change who i essentially am. That, i know for sure. =)

I LOVE HEART STATION OMG :D

There was one period of time when i stopped looking out for her songs completely because she started churning out trying-to-break-into-US-market style R&B and dance music which i totally do not get.

Then she comes and produces an album like this which blew my expectations away. Hikaru is seriously at her best when she does japanese pop. And heyyy i think the japanese might agree with me on this coz her album sales are pretty good (lol nobodys album sales can be as good as 10 years ago coz of ahem illegal downloading larh)

Green Tea Orgy

If my math hasnt failed me the way my chem has hurhurhur, then it is now around 7 weeks before i fly off on a jetplane for my much-awaited tokyo trip!!!! xD

And i'm already shaking in my boots with excitement.. And planning what to wear!!! Hurhurhur a true fashionista knows better than to wear 5-inch heels when shopping in tokyo.

Therefore i need to find blue flats and a kurololi outfit for the trip. Oh and i need to learn how to be best friends with liquid eyeliner.

Liquid eyeliner smudges like a total cranky bitch =/ i think i used up like 10 cotton buds on one eye. So much for Chanel branded makeup.

Yay and my topman hat is absolute LOVES <333333 lol will i look like a complete moron wearing it to the smu interview? Hurhurhur coz it is kinda smart and casual at the same time..
